Waupaca Eco-Park Revitalization Project

It’s time to take Eco Park to the next level—creating a space where children can learn, families can connect, and our entire community can take pride in something truly special. We’re asking for your support to help transform this beloved park into a destination that will inspire and bring joy for generations to come.

For nearly a decade, Eco Park has been a hub of environmental education and outdoor adventure, with thousands of children enjoying its environmental days, the scenic boardwalk along Waupaca’s historic river, and the recently added Tree Trek. Now, as the City prepares to rebuild and enhance the park’s aging features, we have an incredible opportunity to reimagine this space. Our vision includes a nature-inspired playground, expanded parking, a beautiful open-air shelter, and modern restroom facilities—ensuring comfort, accessibility, and enjoyment for all. These improvements will not only enrich the lives of local families but also make Waupaca a standout destination for those who appreciate nature, education, and community.

Your donation will directly impact this exciting transformation. With donor recognition and naming opportunities available, your generosity will be honored as a visible symbol of your commitment to Waupaca’s future. Every contribution—large or small—brings us closer to making this vision a reality. Join us in building a legacy that will shape our community for years to come.

Swan Park Infield Project - Building a Field of Dreams

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

Swan Park has long been a cherished part of our community, but its fields are now showing signs of wear. To maintain its status as a premier recreational destination, we plan to upgrade the infields from grass to dirt, enhancing playability, accommodating various sports, and ensuring equal opportunities for all programs. The Waupaca Baseball Organization and the Waupaca Area Softball Organization, Inc. have already committed $15,000 to initiate this renovation. Your support can make a significant difference in bringing this vision to life. By contributing to this project, you'll help create a lasting legacy that will benefit our community for years to come. Join us in preserving and enhancing Swan Park for future generations. Thank you for your support!

Lakemen Field

Lakemen is a city-owned field and is listed as 1 of our 16 city parks. It is the home field for 14U baseball, 15U baseball, 16U Babe Ruth baseball, Lakemen, Legion, and High School baseball double headers. The Lakemen lights were put up 1976 with a 25-year life expectancy. Best to our knowledge the poles were put up with the lights in 1976 and they were already used electrical poles. The sod was put in the infield in 1979. There was a full infield renovation in 1993, which included: cutting all the lips, redoing the mound, and bringing in new dirt. The recommended lifespan of an infield is 25 years at the most.

With the age of the lights, the light poles, and the field, we would like to renovate Lakemen Field to upgrade the facility to safely use.  In addition to the lights, poles, and field, we will upgrade the sound system as well

South Park

South Park is one of our most developed parks that is located at the south end of Main Street.  With our two shelters (upper and lower) that can be rented throughout the summer this park is host to many community events.  On certain summer nights you could catch a movie in the park, music at the shelter or one of many large community events like Fall-0-Rama.  Our large public beach allows us to have one of the area’s premier triathlons held here and a great place to spend a hot summer day.  You can also access the lake by way of our boat launch or two fishing piers for some summer fun.

Swan Park

Swan Park is one of our premier community parks.  With its four baseball fields it is host to numerous programs and community events throughout the year.  Baseball, softball, kickball and tournaments with 40+ teams are held here during the summer.  This park has two open air shelters, concession stand, large playground, 4 fields, 5 batting cages, a community splash pad and inclusive playground area and ample green space for all to use.  In the winter you can enjoy our one of a kind sledding hill and groomed trails that allow for hiking, snowshoeing and x-country skiing opportunities.
